It's been a very long time since Bauer had any kind of internet fame other than random complaints and rants from my husband (and myself) on our Facebook pages. I decided it was time that Bauer made a comeback.
He really is a beautiful cat. I also can't complain about the fact that he is very tolerant of the kids chasing him around and "petting" him.

After being so excited to use my new camera, I didn't use it once yesterday. I wasn't home much, and when I finally did get home in the evening, there didn't seem to be anything that I felt inspired to photograph at 9:30 pm.
When I checked my phone this morning, I found that Judah had taken one photo on it in the car on the way to church yesterday. Here is his work of art - a blurry diaper bag, Audrey's lamby, and his cup holder.

The kids have been enjoying playing outside this past week. The warmer, sunnier weather has been so refreshing. On Saturday, the kids made "chocolate soup".

And now the real fun begins. I have been asking Andrew for a "nice" camera for a long time now. I was frustrated with our point and shoot that he has had since before we were married. It does an ok job, but I felt like I was always missing the perfect moment with the kids.
On Friday Andrew came home during his lunch hour and surprised me with the Nikon D3100. My first DSLR camera. I'm in love.
I hope that this camera improves my creativity in the photos I post on my blog from now on. But for now, I'll post my test subject of the day.

Yes, I skipped the 23rd. Thank you for noticing.
On to the 24th - Basil leaves and pine nuts. The start of making pesto to fill my pesto parmesan bread.
The finished product. It was heavenly! I made minestrone soup to go with it for dinner that night.

I have seriously been slacking on updating my blog. My apologies!
Last Saturday was Calzone night. It's always an event. We wait for the dough to rise and then we build our own calzones with the different toppings that we pick. This was the first time that Judah got to share in the fun. He made a small pizza, but I didn't get a picture of it.

I was surprised at how well this picture turned out with my iPhone camera. I had just given Audrey a bath, put gel in her hair and blow dried it with a diffuser so that her curls would show. She is also sporting her first ponytail high atop her head.

Judah at his Tuesday gymnastics class. It was his turn to run and catch the hula hoop. Easily his favorite part of class.

Attempt #2 to read this book. So far it's good, but finding the time to be quiet and read is difficult.

I went over to my best friend's house to watch the Oscars and this was what we enjoyed: Berries, Dark Chocolate and Pinot Grigio.

I had a really rough day with Judah this day. I had to be a major disciplinarian which is never fun. After our bad morning, Judah and I shared a hilarious moment that almost made me forget what we'd just been through. I crossed my eyes at him just to be silly. He laughed hysterically and suddenly he did it back at me. I couldn't stop laughing. We went back and forth and I caught him doing it to me.
Great mom moment - teaching my son to cross his eyes. (I'm pretty sure if there were a "how to be a good mom" class, this would be on the "not to do" list. Oh well!
